Chris Townsend
Musikcaféen, Copenhagen
5. December 2007

In the middle of November I got a request from young artist, Chris Townsend, to come and make a photoshoot of his Copenhagen gig at MusikCaféen in December.
I've already listened to Chris' music at myspace and had completely fallen for his music, so I decided to accept the request.

Another young talent, Tobias Stenkjær, did the support prior to Chris' set. See the photos of Tobias performing here.

Chris gave some solo acoustic versions of his songs, but occationally he managed to sound like a full band. Especially in the brilliant song, Copenhagen, he recorded part of his live set on the spot, and replayed the fragments while continuosly performing. Thus he was able to play duet with himself! It was an amazing experience.

After the concert Chris gave me a master-sample cd containing five of his songs from his upcoming album, scheduled for a Danish February 2008 release. The sound of this sample-cd is complete different from the acoustic versions, as the songs on the cd is really well produced with a grand sound.

I we made an appointment that I come back in February 2008, when Chris does a full band promotion concert in Copenhagen to make a new live series.

You can visit Chris Townsend's myspace site here, and his official site here.
